Log into Your Member Profile

If you forgot your password or need to create one, please select “Reset Password.”

Select “Reset Password”
Enter your email address to have a temporary password sent to your inbox.

Receive information that is tailored to your interests.

Select "Log in" from the SHM homepage.

Select "My Account" in the top navigation where your name now appears.

Review and update your personal and professional information. 

Log in from the SHM Website:
If you are signed into your SHM account, you can click through to JHM under the News & Publications tab or under Quick Links.

On the JHM page, select login in the upper right corner.
Select "Login with SHM" on the next screen.

Select "Login with SHM" on the next screen and enter your SHM user name and password.

Log into the Learning Portal

Access the Learning Portal by clicking on "Quick Links" on the SHM homepage
Select Login in the upper right corner of the page.
Enter your SHM username and password to begin earning CME and MOC credits.

Join the conversation on HMX

Connect with your local chapter, Special Interest Group, or participate in the open forum.

Log into your SHM account and gain instant access to HMX.

Network, collaborate, and stay abreast of latest clinical developments in hospital medicine.

Members are automatically assigned to a chapter based on their geographical location. You can find your local chapter by entering your zip code into our online chapter map. You can connect with chapter members and view upcoming events on the Hospital Medicine Exchange (HMX).

Connect with colleagues through Special Interest Groups

SHM members can participate in as many groups as they wish.

To join a Special Interest Group, please log in to the Hospital Medicine Exchange Platform (HMX), view the full SIG listing page, and select the blue bar titled “Click Here to Join a SIG Community Button.”

You will then be re-routed to the SHM Store, where you will add the SIG to your cart and complete the check-out process (joining a SIG is free for SHM members). For a complete walk-through of how to join a SIG, please visit the HMX FAQ page.
