Join an SHM Special Interest Group
Socialize the needs of residents to the entire membership through SHM’s Resident and Student Special Interest Group. SHM’s Special Interest Groups allow members to connect and collaborate with colleagues and peers with shared interests and experiences in person and in the online discussion forum, the Hospital Medicine Exchange (HMX).
Apply for the SHM Conference Grant
Resident members of SHM can apply for a $1,000 conference grant to cover travel and accommodations to attend SHM’s Converge conference each year. Recipients of the conference grant will be awarded complimentary conference registration and up to $1,000 for travel-related costs if the event is held in person. Learn More.

SHM’s Annual Conference offers an Early Career Hospitalist track to support the education and content needs of resident members. Learn from the best of the best in hospital medicine at the largest national conference on hospital medicine.
